#CRSC15 | A glimpse into my summer
I have been sick for the past couple of days so I have had much more free time on my hands than I normally do this time of year. I am thankful for the rest that being sick brought as well as the space to catch up on all things personal and business. Being sick was actually a little blessing...if you don't count the whole being sick part.
Summer is crazy around in the world that I live and work and its been crazy since about April, when we geared into "Camp Mode", where we go full swing into all things Crossroads Summer Camp. Its the best and I still sometimes have to pinch myself that I get to be a part of it. It never gets old seeing students get saved each week at camp and watching students get the Gospel for the first time...it gives me chills just thinking about it!
One of my other favorite parts of camp though is actually...the staff. There is just something so special about when you get 60+ 20 somethings together and give them one mission, to preach the gospel and make disciples. Something happens when you are surrounded by people who are all seeking the Lord and leaning on him for your every ounce of energy that makes you want to love others more with the Love of Jesus! You can see a difference. Campers can see a difference and you can for real feel Jesus all over the room. Its the sweetest thing and we have all become like family.
I could go on forever, literally forever, but all I can say now is that there is no other way I would want to spend my last weeks in America then with these people in this place doing what we do...CAMP!
Enjoy a few of my favorite moments from this past weekend at our 4th of July festivities down at the Brock Farm!
